If I could go back in time I don't think I'd like to really meet anyone in particular lol! It would be a fun experience seeing how different the atmosphere is and how different the people are!
I would want to go back to Ireland to meet my Great Great Grandparents.. I just would want to know why they sent there children to America and they didn't come over with them..
If I could go back in time and meet anyone, I'd have to say Louisa May Alcott. She wrote my favorite book EVER and that's saying something for me. I'd love to spend an afternoon and pick her brain!! Thank you so much for the chance to win! I am super excited to read Seeing LIght!
I would love to meet Lousia May Alcott because I love "Black Beauty" and I adore her affection for the horses and the contribution she made against ill-treatment of horses.
My Grandma (Mom's mom) because I was a tiny baby when she passed from MS and she did so many amazing things and was such a strong woman. I would love to have her influence in my life.
I would follow Seraphina's steps first, I would visit all those places that made a short appearance in the books (would start with Venice probably, as I love that place). Then I would follow my heart and trust it to lead me to beautiful places and times.
Still, can't I have other powers too? As I would like to actually be in the book and wander through it, to become Sera's friend maybe... And I would have Max too, while I'm at it :p OK forget about it, Venice is - a carnival, wearing a wonderful and colourful dress and dreaming of first loves ;)) Then I would go to your place and make you sign me this book to have it on my shelf next to the other two, LOL.
I would love to meet Mr. Samuel Langhorne Clemens, who we know as Mark Twain. As a nineteenth century humorist, during one of the most fascinating times of American history, when our country was going through so much growth, he made people laugh and cry and think. I love that. It's a rare gift to make someone laugh and think about issues in life, and his books mean so much to me. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is my favorite, but Pudd'nhead Wilson is funny and thought-provoking, too. I wonder what Mr. Twain would be like to have a conversation with. My guess is he was probably a gentleman with a cheeky sense of humor.
I find myself coming here every day or so just for that extra few points in winning this giveaway. I started reading WANDER DUST and I know for a fact that if I don't win the giveaway, I'll be buying the books.
